Seven Awards for Fosters in the 2026 Commercial Project Awards

New Zealand Commercial Project Awards Gala

Fosters have achieved outstanding success at the Commercial Project Awards, with all six projects entered recognised on the national stage and seven awards secured by the Waikato and Bay of Plenty teams.

Run by the Registered Master Builders Association, the Commercial Project Awards are New Zealand’s leading recognition of excellence in commercial construction. With hundreds of entries submitted annually, the awards celebrate not only the finished buildings, but the collaboration, innovation and workmanship required to bring projects to life.

This year’s results reflect the breadth of Fosters’ capability across industrial, commercial, retail and commercial fitout categories.

  • Horotiu Office – Commercial - National Value Award ($10m-$25m category)

Our Gold Awards

  • 100 First Ave, Tauranga – Commercial fitout

Our Silver Awards

A standout achievement was the National Value Award for the Horotiu Office. Judges said the project showed “how thoughtful design and disciplined delivery can create a workplace that is both highly functional and deeply connected to its setting….

“Through strong coordination, smart value engineering, and minimal rework, the team maintained quality and programme certainty while managing complex detailing and multiple trades.”

Fosters Commercial Director Leonard Gardner said the results reflect the supportive network afforded to Fosters as one of the region’s strongest locally owned businesses.

“In a tough market, we’ve delivered six award-winning projects. Wins like this showcase the strength of regional business across both the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. It’s thanks to the unwavering commitment of our team to delivering value, with the backing of our strong local partners and supply chain, that we can achieve this level of excellence.

“We are also immensely grateful to our clients for putting these projects in our hands,” said Leonard. “We always appreciate the opportunity to shape and deliver the best outcomes for growing businesses.”
