Overview
A project involving Fosters maintain and engineering teams, Fosters is proud to have delivered a modern and functional new lunchroom and new ablutions to accommodate the expanding team at the Fully Equipped Hamilton head office.
The refurbishment project timeframe was approximately 5 months, including demolition of the existing facilities. Engineering supplied made-to-measure structural steel beams for the alterations, enabling the addition of a cantilever first floor lunchroom. Finished to a high spec with feature plywood walls and ceiling with contrasting black aluminium balustrades and screens, this lunchroom extends seamlessly outdoors through large sliding doors to a deck area.
About the project
Ground floor work included demolition of the existing ablutions, modernising male and female bathrooms and changing rooms, and adding an easily accessible extra lunchroom area for factory staff.
Work was done while the site remained operational. A temporary internal shrink-wrapped wall was added during construction – separating the construction area from the factory to minimise dust contamination.
A close working relationship between the Fully Equipped team and Fosters was key to the success of this project.
