This partnership between Porters and Fosters Develop is an illustration of how strong relationships can lead to outstanding results.
The mixed use development delivers accommodation, retail and hospitality options, supporting the growing community’s needs. Lake Te Koutu and a public reserve area sit adjacent to the development, providing a scenic backdrop to the amenities.
The project was governed by some strict covenants, such as the design requirements for high-pitched roofs and natural exterior materials and palettes.
There are sixteen apartments and six retail units in Block B. The structure consists of concrete and steel, with Innowood and metal cladding, and oversized glazing. Oversized gutters were placed between the pitched roofs to allow for easy cleaning during autumn when the surrounding trees lose their leaves.
The project was a collaborative success, delivered on time and budget with a quality finish and mutally satisfied stakeholders.
