Our People
The team at Fosters possess a skill set which turns an idea into a project design, a project design into a project cost, a project cost into a project programme and ultimately, physical delivery of the work required.
This is our value proposition to the market – we make it happen.

Full Cycle of Property
At Fosters, we provide our clients with a complete service, providing a Full Cycle of Property. To ensure this happens, we developed a business model to look after our clients’ property requirements from beginning to end. The success of the model is evident within the companies which now form part of the Foster Group. Each business now forms an important part of the full-service offering Fosters provides.
This is what a Whole of Life approach to property looks like:
Maintenance solutions
Foster Maintain provides ongoing support to clients, to ensure their property is well maintained. It is their role to create a 10 Year Maintenance Plan to ensure the property is maintained to the desired level, with all guarantees and warranties retained as valid, as well as provide services to refurbish and strengthen existing property to suit current use requirements.
Our objective is to create a community filled with properties we are proud to have been part of, which still look great and are being well used, years after completion of the original construction project.
Our History
In 1973, Graham Foster and Graham Mallett, both apprentices for Len Foster, formed Foster Construction Ltd. From the beginning, our company has been owned by key people who work within the business. Originally building schools and light industrial buildings, Fosters has progressed to delivering some of the most prominent public and private commercial construction projects in the Waikato, including Claudelands Events Centre, Deloitte House, VisyBoard and Genesis Energy Offices.
Over the years, Foster Construction, with its various owners, has made a significant contribution to the built environment and construction industry.
Today, the Foster Group has thirteen employees with shareholdings among the group subsidiaries. The main Foster Group is owned by Ross Pacey (Foster Construction Tender Manager), Leonard Gardner (CEO) and the Foster Group Custodians Trust.
